I was totally expecting just another 90s action movie, but wow was I surprised!
It's clear from the beginning (and the trailer) that this is another riff on "The Most Dangerous Game" story. This 90s version of the story finds Ice-T, a homeless man unsure if he can even go on living, getting unwillingly wrapped up in this survival game held by a groupd of wealthy hunters, who are an AMAZING team up of villians. The all star cast inlcudes Rutger Hauer, Charles S Dutton, F Murray Abraham, John C McGinley, and an INCREDIBLE performance by Gary Busey.
My FAVORITE moment of the whole film was the monologue Busey gives early on, before the hunt even begins - I would say Oscar worthy.
While it's not a perfect movie (it's still a typical 90s action film, with some things not making total sense for the sake of a cool action sequence, and of course full of cheesy one liners, mostly from Ice-T), I had so much fun watching! 4.5 out of 5 stars.
